Santa Claus Returns to Park Tavern in Piedmont Park This December

Santa Claus and his little helpers return to Park Tavern for a day of family fun on Sunday, December 8th from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Revelers are invited to grab their cameras, strike a pose and take holiday pictures with their family, friends, kids, and pups in the park.

While taking in the views of Piedmont Park and Midtown’s picturesque skyline, guests can take advantage of Park Tavern’s extensive dining options including: burgers, tacos, salads and sandwiches, and a  full sushi  bar along with toasting to the season with speciality cocktails, craft brews, wine and more.

A  favorite in-town holiday tradition, revelers can also hit the ice under the beautiful heated tent at The Rink at Park Tavern powered by Bubly and enjoy complimentary mini-massages from Spa Sydell. Eat, Drink and Be Merry At City Winery Atlanta This Holiday Season

City Winery Atlanta, a restaurant, urban winery, private event space and intimate music venue, is celebrating the holiday season with an array of opportunities for all tastes and budgets, including a monthly free book club; a girl’s night out with sips, painting and socializing; a free screening of the timeless classic A Christmas Story; a New Year’s bash; a new, seasonal menu and much more.

Book lovers are invited to explore author Taylor Jenkins heart-wrenching and mesmerizing novel, Seven Husbands of Eleanor Hugo, at Posman Books and City Winery’s December Books & Booze club on December 18th. Featuring lively discussions among fellow readers, the event will be hosted by Marc Stiles, Posman Book’s General Manager, and will feature a themed Literary Libation. City Winery’s expansive wine, cocktail and craft beer offerings will also be available. Literature lovers can purchase their copy of the monthly selection from Posman Books for the December Books & Booze event. Starts at 7 p.m. The event is free to attend.

On December 20th, City Winery presents the next rendition of its wildly popular explorer series, City Wine Explorer: Portugal. An evening of wines paired with gourmet creations, guests will take a tour of Portugal while sampling five different wines from some of the country’s most famous regions. From the rugged and majestic Duoro Valley, through the cosmopolitan capital of Lisbon, to the island of Madeira off the African coast, wine lovers will discover that Portugal is more than just fortified wine. The event starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $35, plus applicable fees.

Who’s ready to dress like a deranged Easter Bunny? For the second year in a row, City Winery is welcoming all ages to a free matinee screening of the beloved holiday classic, A Christmas Story. Whether it’s Black Bart, that Farkus kid, or Ralphie in the iconic pink bunny costume, guests are encouraged to dress for occasion for the chance to win their very own Leg Lamp. A festive ‘You’ll Shoot Your Eye Cocktail’ made with coconut milk, cinnamon, vanilla and rum will be offered in addition to the full cocktail, wine and craft beer menu. The free screening will take place at 12 p.m. on December 22nd. RSVP to reserve a spot.

Cheers to the New Year at City Winery! Atlanta Wine Festivals is returning for the second year in a row to the popular urban winery to host an unforgettable bash on Monday, December 31st from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The all-inclusive, high-energy party will feature a premium buffet, spirits, beer, and fantastic wine options for revelers. Guests can also dance the night away as they prepare to ring in 2019 with live music from Coast Guard and a DJ. General Admission tickets are $99 advance and $109 after December 22nd and $119 the day of the event. VIP tickets are also available and include an 8 p.m. entry and access to exclusive VIP bars for $139 advance and $149 after December 22nd. VIP ticket are not available the day of the event. Tickets are on sale now and available for purchase.

Just in time for the season, City Winery has also unveiled a new culinary menu. While autumn takes over Atlanta and the holidays arrive, hungry diners can explore rich, robust fall-inspired dishes, featuring vegan, vegetarian and gluten free offerings, while taking advantage of the urban winery’s expansive wine list, which includes a diverse selection of house-made varietals by Atlanta’s only winemaker, Travis Green.

The Whiskey Gentry Announces the 10th Annual Merry Y’allTide Celebration

An Atlanta institution, The Whiskey Gentry has announced it will be returning to the Variety Playhouse on Dec. 8, 2018 for the 10th Annual Merry Y’alltide Celebration.

Performance to Mark Final Performance by The Whiskey Gentry

The announcement comes with the news that this will officially be the final performance by The Whiskey Gentry. Recent months have seen the band take fewer engagements, as lead singer, Lauren Morrow has emerged with a new sound and self-titled solo EP. Rolling Stone profiled Morrow in its latest issue as one of their “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” creating further buzz to already exciting news.

“When Jason and I started The Whiskey Gentry, I don’t think we ever imagined how incredible this journey would be. We’ve toured the world, played music with some amazing people, and most importantly, created a family with a group of guys that we love like brothers,” — The Whiskey Gentry lead singer, Lauren Morrow.

“Over the years, some of us have gotten married, had kids, moved to different cities, and it makes it harder to be a collective unit like it was,” Morrow said. “Jason and I have chosen to keep moving with our careers under my name, but no matter what, we will always have these songs, this family of musicians, and all of the incredible memories we’ve created together over the last decade.”

The final performance of The Whiskey Gentry will be accompanied by several special guests who will help get the crowd warmed up for this spirited evening. In addition, full details on the special guests along with comparative poster art will be revealed in the coming weeks.
