Atlanta foodies seeking a new year filled with good luck and prosperity should ring it in at Saltyard.
On Thursday, Dec. 31, the South Buckhead restaurant is hosting the “Feast for Fortune” New Year’s Eve dinner celebration featuring Executive Chef Nick Leahy’s special menu of dishes believed to bring good luck, prosperity and happiness in the coming new year.
Guests will choose from a menu of more than 20 small plates keeping in theme with traditional Southern new year’s staples such as pork, greens, and black-eyed peas paired with delicacies such as scallops, ahi tuna, and delightful desserts. The night will end with a balloon drop and midnight toast featuring a champagne cocktail made from local whiskey brand, American Spirit Whiskey. Additional á la carte items such as oysters on the half shell, a grand seafood platter, and petit bone-in-filet will also be offered at an additional charge.

Although I’ve seen some good entries above, I just MIGHT be a very fitting candidate for selection for the “Feast for Fortune” NYE dinner celebration featuring Chef Leahy’s special menu of small plates from the South. I was born in ATL, and grew up eating such Southern offerings. Chef Paul Luna, who brought tapas to ATL 30 or so years ago, taught me several of his dishes. I became a big fan of small plates then, so the NYE feast at SaltYard would be so incredibly exciting to me (and the Wife). And, did I mention that I just retired Thursday, and will be pursuing my food obsession ??
Me and my hunny could really use some goodness in our bellies. It’s been a rough year ending with one car that needs a new engine and another that we had to replace the clutch on all within the past 2 weeks.
Some electic southern comfort tapas are holding a spot in our bellies.
I deserve to win this AMAZING dinner for 2 because…..um …. because its AMAZING and you’re AMAZING…and AWESOME as well 😉
Nobody has played the fellow UGA alum card, or better yet, the Grady Grad card. So get us ready for the Taxslayer Bowl (really?) on January 2 with a great New Year’s dinner at Saltyard on December 31. You know you want to pick us!
The menu sounds divine!! This would be a great way to ring in 2016!
I deserve this because I, in my own mind, am awesome. Plus I love free stuff. 🙂
That menu looks amazing and I also don’t have any family in Atlanta so I would love to take one of my friends that also is without family here and we ring in the new year together 🙂
This menu looks amazing and would really be a great way to begin our fresh start year.
Wow – that menu sounds fantastic!! Whomever wins this gem is one lucky couple! Sounds like I need to make a reservation to go there sometime!
Merry Christmas
**mouth watering** What a delicious way to ring in the New Year — I need one last binge before the 2016 dieting resolutions begin!
I saw the posting on Dream Warriors. This meal pains amazing!
Hey Lauren! You should pick this Atlanta girl whose homesick for all the amazing food back home… And I’d incredibly tempted by everything you just described. Would love to ring in the new year with some of the best from the ATL food scene!!
I think I am deserving of this festive evening because our son is hosting a NYE party at our home that night and I would love to escape with my hubby for some bubbly!
This menu looks sublime! I am spending every waking moment of the next week working on writing my thesis so dinner out would be a real ‘treatyoself’ reward! What a way to ring in the new year 🙂
I have been married to a wonderful man for 32 years and would love to surprise him with this delicious surprise!
I deserve to go because I’ve had one heck of a 2015. One good thing after the other- so I think I need to keep the good things going by ending 2015 at Saltyard! (Bonus points for following directions?)
Yum yum yum!!! Ringing in the New Year enjoying a delicious meal with a loved one is the perfect way to end 2015 and sets the tone for a feastful 2016!
I don’t deserve it per se, because I believe in working hard and living with integrity and kindness and I don’t think those things really merit a feast. I do manage college students and that is definitely an accomplishment. BUT I do have a 19 month old and never eat more than a small plate of anything because I cannot pay attention to food long enough to even know what I’ve eaten and usually suffice to kill my hunger pain. That said, I would pay attention to and graciously enjoy this food. And I might look up to smooch my hubby too, between courses
I would love a romantic date for two at saltyard! My boyfriend is in the navy and leaves early this year and I’m worried this will be the last New Years we will be together for sometime. How awesome would it be to ring it in together with a yummy dinner!
Yes, please! That’d be an amazing way to kiss 2015 goodbye!!
Hey girl! Love your blog! Dinner would be great, but either way we should catch up soon!
An evening at the Saltyard would be amazing ANY night…. but on New Years Eve? Unparalleled. My boyfriend and I are spending our first NYE together this year and I can’t think of anywhere more perfect to ring it in than Saltyard. The menu looks AMAZING, the atmosphere is always top notch, and if anyone deserves this night- it’s him. He treats me like a princess every single day… I’d love the chance to spoil him and treat him to something extra special like this for once! … Plus, I would love to load my Instagram/SnapChat with pics of the Saltyards delicious spread and celebration! YUM!
Holy Toledo, I’m gonna flood my house from salivating. Gonna start fasting now to make sure I have room to try everything! I would love to bring my partner here!
Yes! Yes! Yes! What a fabulous way to welcome in a new year!!
This sounds delicious! I have always wanted to try Saltyard, but every time I think to go we are always on the opposite side of town. Their menu looks delicious and a good friend used to do PR for them. I would love to have a romantic NYE dinner there with Brandon – it’s two days after our two-year anniversary! Thank you for hosting this awesome giveaway, Lauren.
All the yes to this dinner. I’d like to reward myself with a fantastic dinner because I haven’t yet celebrated completing my first half-marathon and the Triple Peach race series.
An amazing way to end 2015 and toast in 2016. Why do I deserve to win? Been a roller coaster year. It would be a treat to begin the new year on a high . Plus I’d of course socialize the experience. Happy holidays to you and yours Lauren.
Saltyard is our favorite! I would love to ring in 2016 with their crispy brussel sprout leaves and a glass of bubbles – how romantic and festive. What a great giveaway. Fingers, and toes, crossed!
I deserve to ring in the year with Saltyard because I have worked hard all year, a 5 course meal would be a nice reward!
That menu! Oh! Em! Gee! No clue what I’ll choose if I win. Love the Salt Yard! Would love to win this!
YES PLEASE!!!! all of this sounds divine! i can count on one hand how many date nights my husband and i have had since being married and this would be such a wonderful surprise!!!
