Revelers are invited to sip into the summer season and celebrate National Mai Tai Day to the fullest with TWO urban licks’ Mai Tai Slushy on Sunday, June 30, 2019. Combining light, dark and overproof rum, lime juice, orange curaçao, orgeat and water, the boozy libation will cool down guests after a leisurely stroll on the Atlanta BeltLine or a rousing game of bocce ball on TWO’s spacious outdoor patio.

TWO urban Licks’ Mai Tai Slushy Recipe

  • 2 Parts Light Rum
  • 2 Parts Dark Rum
  • ½ Part Overproof Rum
  • 1 Part Fresh Lime Juice
  • 1 Part Orange Curacao
  • 1 Part Orgeat
  • 1.5 Part Water
  1. Using a refractometer, adjust Brix (measurement of sugar in an aqueous solution) to 14 degrees.
  2. Add water to lower Brix, grenadine or simple syrup if higher Brix needed.
  3. When desired sugar content is achieved, add ingredients and set machine to freeze.
  4. Garnish with pineapple spear, lime wedge, umbrella or anything fun.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
