Have Fun in the Summer Sun at AFFPS’ Annual Arts Festivals

Revelers daydreaming about summer festivals are invited to break out their favorite sun dresses, sun glasses and sandals. As for me I’ll be accessorizing with my cute tortoiseshell glasses. The Atlanta Foundation For Public Spaces is bringing the heat all summer long with their summer festival lineup including: Piedmont Park Arts Festival, the Buckhead Fine Arts Festival and the Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival. Free to attend and all ages, each festival will provide laughs and memorable moments for the entire family, along with expansive artist markets, live music performances, gourmet food trucks, children’s areas and much more.

Ninth Annual  Piedmont Park Arts Festival

Consistently recognized as one of the best outdoor festivals in Atlanta, the Piedmont Park Arts Festival will return to the picturesque park in the heart of Midtown for its ninth year on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18, 2019. A favorite for all ages, the two-day, family-friendly event will feature approximately 250 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalwork artisans, glass blowers, jewelers and crafters. Festival goers are also invited to enjoy artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, an expansive artist market, children’s play area, festival foods and beverages, games and much more. Second Annual Buckhead Fine Arts Festival

Taking place in the heart of Buckhead, home to one of the city’s most enthusiastic art buying communities, the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces presents the second annual Buckhead Fine Arts Festival  on Saturday, September 21 and 22, 2019. Offering extend hours until 8 p.m. on Saturday, the two-day fine arts festival will feature approximately 100 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalworkers, glass artists, jewelers and more. Festival goers can also soak up the sun and cityscape, while enjoying artist demonstrations and live acoustic music. The dynamic merchants in and surrounding the festival in the Buckhead Village will provide an array of beverage and food offerings. Seventh Annual Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival

Celebrate the seventh annual Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, 2019. Presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, the two-day festival will once again be held in Historic Fourth Ward Park that is conveniently located along the bustling Atlanta BeltLine Eastside  Trail. Festival goers are invited to explore painting, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, woodwork and handcrafted items. The festival also features live music in the amphitheater, local food vendors, drinks, a children’s area, art demonstrations, games, and much more. Jeffrey Fashion Cares Atlanta Celebrates 27 Years This August

Atlanta’s most philanthropic and fashionable affair, Jeffrey Fashion Cares, is set to celebrate 27 stylish years on Monday, August 26, 2019 at 7 p.m. The annual event, which has become a mainstay on Atlanta’s social circuit, is founded by acclaimed retailer and arbiter of style, Jeffrey Kalinsky, who recently expanded his Atlanta store in Phipps Plaza and is now offering both men’s and women’s clothing, shoes, accessories and jewelry. 

What is aways an unforgettable evening, Jeffrey Fashion Cares will kick off with a cocktail reception and dynamic silent auction followed by a high-energy live auction.  The evening’s pièce de résistance, a runway show featuring Kalinsky’s style selections from high-end designers, once again promises to dazzle with looks from Celine, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Dries Van Noten, Sacai, Saint Laurent Paris, Balenciaga, Valentino, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik.
