    Have Fun in the Summer Sun at AFFPS’ Annual Arts Festivals

    Revelers daydreaming about summer festivals are invited to break out their favorite sun dresses, sun glasses and sandals. As for me I’ll be accessorizing with my cute tortoiseshell glasses. The Atlanta Foundation For Public Spaces is bringing the heat all summer long with their summer festival lineup including: Piedmont Park Arts Festival, the Buckhead Fine Arts Festival and the Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival. Free to attend and all ages, each festival will provide laughs and memorable moments for the entire family, along with expansive artist markets, live music performances, gourmet food trucks, children’s areas and much more.

    Ninth Annual  Piedmont Park Arts Festival

    Consistently recognized as one of the best outdoor festivals in Atlanta, the Piedmont Park Arts Festival will return to the picturesque park in the heart of Midtown for its ninth year on Saturday, August 17 and Sunday, August 18, 2019. A favorite for all ages, the two-day, family-friendly event will feature approximately 250 painters, photographers, sculptors, leather and metalwork artisans, glass blowers, jewelers and crafters. Festival goers are also invited to enjoy artist demonstrations, live acoustic music, an expansive artist market, children’s play area, festival foods and beverages, games and much more.     Second Annual Buckhead Fine Arts Festival

    Taking place in the heart of Buckhead, home to one of the city’s most enthusiastic art buying communities, the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces presents the second annual Buckhead Fine Arts Festival  on Saturday, September 21 and 22, 2019. Offering extend hours until 8 p.m. on Saturday, the two-day fine arts festival will feature approximately 100 painters, photographers, sculptors, metalworkers, glass artists, jewelers and more. Festival goers can also soak up the sun and cityscape, while enjoying artist demonstrations and live acoustic music. The dynamic merchants in and surrounding the festival in the Buckhead Village will provide an array of beverage and food offerings.     Seventh Annual Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival

    Celebrate the seventh annual Old Fourth Ward Arts Festival on Saturday, September 28 and Sunday, September 29, 2019. Presented by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, the two-day festival will once again be held in Historic Fourth Ward Park that is conveniently located along the bustling Atlanta BeltLine Eastside  Trail. Festival goers are invited to explore painting, photography, ceramics, glass, jewelry, woodwork and handcrafted items. The festival also features live music in the amphitheater, local food vendors, drinks, a children’s area, art demonstrations, games, and much more.     Wildwood Revival Unveils Full Performer Lineup

    Wildwood Revival, a thoughtfully curated and intimate gathering and festival, is set to return this September 27th through 29th on historic Cloverleaf Farm just outside of Athens, Georgia.  Celebrating its sixth anniversary, the event embodies the magic of a Deep South setting, out into the wildwood while celebrating Athens’ storied music scene.

    From Country, Blues and early Jazz to Gospel, Soul, Metal and Rock n’ Roll, Hip Hop and beyond, this isn’t your every day festival.  Exploring music, food and friendship, this coveted festival is a little bit country, a little bit rock n’ roll, and everything in between.
    With tickets on sale now, the full lineup of performers for 2019 has been released.     The festival also features a dynamic artisan market with vintage clothing, antiques, printmakers, woodworkers, 1800’s-era tintype photography, leather makers, handmade crafts and more.  Celebrating what’s old is new again, Wildwood Revival  embraces its history as a cultural revival; making it a true antithesis to what people have come to think of festivals. Around the grounds, festival goers can experience great food, cold craft beers from Creature Comforts Brewing Co., and meals made with local produce.  In addition, this is a plastic-free experience with no single use cups or bottled waters, with YETI offering festival goers stylish drink ware options. All the water is filtered, cold and free.

    Camping is encouraged for the full experience, but if guests prefer a king bed and AC to a shady patch of grass, there are plenty of lodging options in nearby Athens.     Park Tavern is excited to announce the return of Sunset Sessions powered by Mountain Dew – a weekly, alternative music series in Piedmont Park that is raising the bar for live music experiences in Atlanta!

    First launched in 2015, ALT 105.7 and Park Tavern will once again join forces to bring Atlantans and visitors alike a phenomenal lineup of live music from some of today’s most buzz-worthy artists every Sunday for free this spring and summer. The annual series will kickoff on April 28th under Park Tavern’s spacious, air-conditioned Garden Tent with Athens, Georgia native rocker, T. Hardy Morris with support from Neighbor Lady and Teddy & The Rough Riders.
